{{Quickfixn}} Need Help

Hello,

Seriously?

You are not new to QuickFixN - you are a junior developer or trainee.

* The error message is not specific to QuickFix in any way. Connection Forcibly removed by Host is... ah .... A standard network level error message (TCP connection just closed by other end).

* You provided zero relevant information.
Now,

Seriously?

No, I can not help you. Set up your own server according to examples first, then make up a configuration file with ALL the relevant information. Fix is complex (not QuickFix, fix) an there are a LOT of parameters. Read the specifications OF YOUR PROVIDER.

Can it be you are not sending a password but have to? IT can not be set in the config file but if the server expects it it may just thro you out if your Logon message has no password.

I simply do not know. You still refuse to provide any sensible information.

Started with "I have a car that does not work, help me" you now went to "it has 4 wheels, please help". Sadly "I have a car" was not an error report and "it has 4 wheels" does not make it an error report. Putting up proper error reports with enough information to try to make sense seems not to be something you have learned in school - I strongly suggest you work on that skill fast, it is paramount for any IT career.

There is a lot more you need in addition to SenderComID and TargetCompId to make a successful connection. Something there is wrong.

Set up one of the examples first, then go from there. Step by step. Then come with a complete configuration (mark out ip addresses and relevant information) and possibly send the FIX message lof and event log file so that - guess what - we could TRY to see what may go wrong ;) Also would be nice if we would know what you connect to - maybe someone has an idea of a particular "issue" with the server provider. FIX is not easy to set up - it is more a guideline than a fixed protocol, many implementations require - ah - "modifications" at one point or the other (which is why the messages are so extensible).

Until then - the only sensible info is: Fix the bug.

Well, this translates to "you are unfriendly and removed from the server". See, it is just lclosing your TCP connection.

Here is a hint. Given all your extremely nondetails noninformation relevant... the ONLY answer is:

* Connect in a way that does not fore the other server to throw you out.

You may find that not helpful, but your nondetails question has as ZERO information relevant for helping you excelt "the server removes me".

Regards

Thomas
