Hi all,
I'm setting up a new connection to a broker. The broker has broken it's data
dictionary files into 2 separate files, a trade dictionary and a price
dictionary. I want to combine both into one data dictionary for easy
reference and use so that I can run both sessions from one QF/n app.
I guess this is something that has been done thousands of times in the past
so wandered what the general best practice was for combining two xml files?
I used the ruby tools to generate new xml dll's following the excellent
advice I receive here, so wondered whether any of the other ruby scripts are
there to do just this very thing?
If combining into one xml isn't the way forward can I just generate 2 xml
dll files from the ruby generate script and reference them both in my QF/n
app? Up till now I've been renaming all xml files and the corresponding
dll's to FIX44 only. I guess I could have FIX44_1 and FIX44_2 but then I
would have to re-code all the message code in my app.
Thanks again
A
