What is the scenario that makes you need to reset? A better question:
what is the scenario causing them to fall out of sync? Are both sides
using the same session starttime/endtime?
I'm not familiar with FixSim, but I assume you're losing sync between
executions, right? I wouldn't expect either app to suddenly jump
seq-nums during an active connection.
I'm guessing that between executions, you're resetting the state of
one side or the other. Or perhaps you're running different app builds
(with identical configs) with a single FixSim. Each app build will
maintain its own state; you can't flip-flop between them without
resetting FixSim.
Basically, I think there's a user error in here somewhere, but I don't
know enough about what you're doing to know what it is.
(General advice: You should *never* *ever* be resetting seq nums in
your app's code. I don't know if you're doing that, but you shouldn't
be, and it's a common mistake.)
