Verify with FixSim that your Session StartTime/EndTime are correct (and
using the correct timezone).  Also verify that the 'ResetOn' cfg settings
(e.g. ResetOnLogon) agree with what FixSim expects.  If that doesn't fix
your issue, then you are going to have to upgrade to v1.4, which fixes
significant Session time issues (which affect seqnums).

No, seq num handling is internal to the engine.   You should never
manipulate seq nums directly.
