Try to go through all the xml files for fix4.4.xml files, there may be several in the client folder, and change all of them. Secpnd thing is make sure the format is correct for the additions you make. They have to be in the right part of the xml file as well as in the right format.<div><br></div><div>All i can think of with the info provided. I have to implement a FIX client for my company to receive Trade information from Bloomberg.(in attachement the specification)<br>
I'm actually using the version 1.4.4 of fix as defined in the spec. However I realize that the component <SecurityXML> is supported only since the version 1.5.0 event if Bloomberg use it as an added component :<br>

As the standard FIX.4.4.xml file doesn't support SecurityXMLLen, I get the following error :<br>

have tried to insert the component and the fields in my FIX.4.4.xml as it is in the standard FIX.5.0.xml but this is not supported and make the session abort with an exception.<br>
How should I manage this exception to be able to use this new component even if it is not supported by the standard fix version?<br>
Here the response of Bloomberg (doesn't help me a lot):<br>

- I'm not sure what is 1.4.4 or 1.5.0 but the FIX session you use must be 4.4 and you need to support the tag 1184 to receive the fpml portion. I hope that helps.<br>
