yes, I'm able to connect and log on to the server if I use that host,
port , sender and target on Verifix.

I'm make sure I disconnected the session on Verifix to have it available
to use it on my program.

Have you tried to telnet to the host and port you have specified in you
cfg-file?

The other file ends with messages.current ( actually I dont have any file
that ends with messages.log)

That file contains:

20131125-17:38:38.611 :
8=FIX.4.29=12735=D34=549=GARCBEL52=20131125-17:38:38.55756=DBSI1=TestAccount11=EriOrder21=238=78940=254=155=Wolverine100=ARCA_QA10=222

20131125-17:38:39.733 :
8=FIX.4.29=6635=A34=649=GARCBEL52=20131125-17:38:38.61256=DBSI98=0108=3010=029

I don't know why I got that error "An existing connection was forcibly
closed by the remote host "

That's not a message log, that's an event log.

Please look at the file that ends with ...message.log.

In practice, the event log is rarely useful.

Hi,

This is what I've got on the log file:

20131125-17:26:09.863 : Created session
20131125-17:26:11.663 : Connecting to "here my host" on port " here goes
my port"
20131125-17:26:11.673 : Connection succeeded
20131125-17:26:11.709 : Session reset: ResetOnLogon
20131125-17:26:34.414 : Session reset: ResetSeqNumFlag
20131125-17:26:34.431 : Connection failed: An existing connection was
forcibly closed by the remote host

however I'm sure I'm disconnected on Verifix, so the session should be
available to connect from my program.

What else should I try?

Thanks & regards.

Replace ScreenLogFactory with FileLogFactory, and put
FileLogPath=some/path/ in your config file.

Then try again. Look in the resulting message.log file and you'll see the
raw FIX messages that are being sent and received. Use FIXimate (
http://www.fixtradingcommunity.org/FIXimate/FIXimate3.0/) to help decode
these messages and you may be able to figure out what's going on.

If you still need help, let us know. Please include the relevant parts of
your message log.

Hi  Ashutosh / Grant ,

I tried to follow the example "TradeClient" , just like this:

 QuickFix.SessionSettings settings = new QuickFix.SessionSettings("my
config file path" );
                TradeClientApp application = new TradeClientApp();
                QuickFix.IMessageStoreFactory storeFactory = new QuickFix.
FileStoreFactory(settings);
                QuickFix.ILogFactory logFactory = new QuickFix.
ScreenLogFactory(settings);
                QuickFix.Transport.SocketInitiator initiator = new
QuickFix.Transport.SocketInitiator(application, storeFactory, settings,
logFactory);

                application.MyInitiator = initiator;

                initiator.Start();

                application.Run();// This contains a call to
QueryEnterOrder();

                initiator.Stop();

I set my Verifix session data on the config file, it seemed to work
because I saw the seq number reset on Verifix but now I cannot log on
anymore on Verifix
In addtion, I cannot see the order that I sent on the application is
supposed to be shown.

I have no idea why I got this unsuccessful result.

Could you please help me?

Thanks & regards!!
