The QuickFIX/J FAQ explains the quickfix way of setting username and
password -- the concept is basically the same in QuickFIX/n:

Note that you can put whatever you want in the config file, but only certain
config options are handled for you automatically.  So, you can put Username
and Password in the config file, but you'll have to read them out of the
SessionSettings object yourself to make use of them.
