Hi
First I would like to say that I'm very happy to see many nice new features
and bug fixes, thank you all for contributions, special thanks Mike Gatny
for Mono support, I didn't test it but I will, this is very nice to know
that engine can be also used on other OS...
I'm also sorry to report that
* session schedule fixes for start/end days/times and daylight savings: has
not been fixed in 1.4.0beta branch nor in master branch. I don't know what
was happen during all issues and merges, but today when I have switch to
1.4.0beta branch and run unit tests I get again 2 tests failures:
Errors and Failures:
1) Test Failure :
UnitTests.SessionScheduleTests.testLastEndTime_DailySessions
Expected: 2012-10-17 16:00:00.000
But was: 2012-10-17 09:00:00.000
at UnitTests.SessionScheduleTests.testLastEndTime_DailySessions() in
\SessionScheduleTests.cs:line 390
2) Test Failure :
UnitTests.SessionScheduleTests.testLastEndTime_WeeklySessions
Expected: 2012-10-12 16:00:00.000
But was: 2012-10-12 09:00:00.000
at UnitTests.SessionScheduleTests.testLastEndTime_WeeklySessions() in
\SessionScheduleTests.cs:line 432
Mr. Grant Birchmeier please have a look into your branches:
gbirchmeier:daylight (this branch have working fix and OK unit test result)
gbirchmeier:sessionschedule (this branch should be also created base on
daylight branch (#144) but somehow don't, so it fail on unit tests)
best regards

Subject: {{Quickfixn}} 1.4.0beta prerelease is up for download
I'd like to announce the prerelease for the next version: 1.4.0beta, now
available on our Downloads page.
http://quickfixn.org/download
The most critical fixes in this release are
* session schedule fixes for start/end days/times and daylight savings
* tolerance for non-ASCII characters (utf8 and such)
We would greatly appreciate anyone who can download and try this build out
for the next week or two. I know these features/fixes have been desired by
many for some time now, and I want to make sure we have them right before we
make this release "official".
And please, feedback about good behavior is desired too! If the session
schedule stuff is working correctly in ways that it was failing before,
please say so. The same with international characters. We've tested these
features to the best of our ability, but we'd really like assurances that
things are running well against live FIX interfaces or in production-style
situations.
Also in this build: experimental Mono support! Mike Gatny has been tweaking
code and adapting scripts to allow development and execution on Mono. I
don't know if anyone wants to use QF/n on Mono in production, but it's nice
to have the option, and it's doubly nice to be able to hack on it with a
Unix environment.
Here's the full rundown of changes in this version:
* (minor) issue #101 - better exception for when group doesn't use proper
delimiter (gbirchmeier)
* (minor) issue #28 - rename interfaces to start with "I" (gbirchmeier)
* (patch) issue #128 - simplify/improve TradeClient example app
(gbirchmeier)
* (minor) issue #135 - fix DateOnly/TimeOnly field support (formator)
* (patch) issue #134 - if DD field/group/component is missing "required"
attribute, treat it as "required=N" (gbirchmeier)
* (patch) issue #114 - enum dupe-check script; corrections to FIX43 tag
574/MatchType (gbirchmeier)
* (patch) scripts and fixes for experimental Mono support (mgatny)
* (minor) issue #97 - tolerance for non-ASCII (e.g. UTF-8) characters
(andbjorn/gbirchmeier)
* (patch) issues #139/#144/#151 - session schedule problems
(gbirchmeier/formator)
Please let us know how this build is working for you. If we don't hear
about any problems, we'll promote it to non-beta status.
