{{Quickfixn}} DD for QuickFix/N

Looking at the FIX42.XML file I see fields with enums defined like this:

 

<field number="329" name="DueToRelated" type="BOOLEAN">

      <value enum="Y"
description="HALT_WAS_DUE_TO_RELATED_SECURITY_BEING_HALTED"/>

      <value enum="N"
description="HALT_WAS_NOT_RELATED_TO_A_HALT_OF_THE_RELATED_SECURITY"/>

</field>

 

Is there a reason why the enum description is in all upper case with no
spaces?  When I define a custom field, should I use all uppercase with
no spaces in my descriptions too?
