{{Quickfixn}} Why is Symbol (55) a required tag of Position Report (AP)?

I think you found a bug.

It may be sufficient for you to go into your FIX44.xml file and change the
Symbol that's inside the Instrument component to Required=N.  (I assume you
are using UseDataDictionary=Y and DataDictionary=path/to/DD.xml)

I will open a bug.  Not sure if that suggested fix is ready for prime-time;
need to make sure it doesn't break anything else.
